problems
A Way Out needed a concise way to introduce who they are and what they do to potential stakeholders (new funders, volunteers, employees, and board members). Another barrier the company faced was missing out on potential volunteers due to the misunderstanding that all volunteers must work directly with domestic violence or sexual assault victims.
Introduction to whom they serve
Solution
I created a concise introduction to the organization. It’s easily shared electronically, saving the need for an employee trainer to be physically present and learners can experience the course at their own convenience.
Process
After meeting with the Executive Director and SMEs, I wrote the design document outlining the purpose, audience, training recommendations, deliverables, and learning objectives. This project went through several iterations and with ongoing feedback, I was able to develop a polished version.
From start to finish, I developed this e-Learning experience. To accomplish this, I redesigned the company’s branding including their logo, fonts, and colors. I then wrote the design document, designed visual mockups, and developed the Alpha, Beta, and Gold versions.

highlights
For this module, I incorporated click-to-flip interactions, a carousel, audio narrations, multiple choice knowledge checks, and a drag-and-drop activity.
results
The stakeholders from A Way Out provided positive feedback on this project. They liked the new branding scheme and logo I provided and utilized within this module. Also, they were thankful that I was able to save precious employee time and resources.
